Description

Elaeagnus pungens 'Maculata' is an evergreen shrub that grows 6'-8' tall and 4'-15' wide. It likes half to full sun, low watering, and well drained soil. This plant looks great in a shaded environment because of the variegated foliage of yellow centers and green margins. Small white fragrant flowers appear in the fall. Small orange fruit appear in spring. This shrub also has thorns, making it a great barrier plant. It can be used as a windbreak in coastal areas.
